About Us

Our Congregation

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church was first established in neighboring Pleasanton, California in 1994. Pastor Paul Mueller guided the congregation through its early years of worshiping in a rented hall to growing large enough to need a dedicated space. We were blessed to find that space in Downtown Livermore in 2003.

Since 2003, we have been worshiping in an historic building of Livermore, built in 1944. We’re conveniently located only a few blocks from the Sunday farmer’s market and First Street shops.

Possibly our most noticed feature in Livermore is our outdoor marquee sign, which we try to update weekly with a new uplifting message.

Livermore’s Independent newspaper wrote a featured article about installing the four beautiful stained glass windows on south side.

In 2015, our long-time founding pastor, Paul Mueller, accepted a new divine call to Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Kingman, AZ. Not long after, our current pastor, Matthew Natsis, accepted our divine call to serve our congregation.
